You can also search for new drivers on the manufacturer's website. Driver updates are often available in the support section of their website. Download the latest driver for your device, and follow the installation instructions on the website. You can usually double-tap or double-click the downloaded file to install the driver on your PC.
Graphics Driver Free Download For Windows 8
Here you can download drivers for DisplayLink USB graphics chipsets incorporated in your dock, adapter or monitor. We recommend to update to the latest driver to address any potential security issue, fix bugs, improve performance and add new features.
Look for graphics card drivers that mention manufacturer names related to graphics components, such as Intel Graphics, NVIDIA, or AMD Graphics. You may see these in the main view or under the Optional Updates category. If you see one of these graphics card drivers, click on the Install button and wait for the installation to complete.
In Windows Update, you usually see a date next to each entry. If your graphics driver is older than three or four months, try using Windows Device Manager to upgrade to the latest driver.
Found a driver? It may come with its own installer. If not, look for the file (usually ending in .inf) in your downloads directory. Click on Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
If you like, explore the new graphics control panel to learn about new features or adjust settings. To do so, right-click on the Windows desktop, and find Intel HD Graphic Options, NVIDIA Control Panel, AMD Radeon Settings, or the name of the driver to discover its new options.
Keeping your drivers updated boosts performance by speeding up your PC and optimizing your system for gaming and other higher intensity tasks. By the same token, failing to update graphics drivers can result in sluggish and glitchy performance. Outdated drivers are also a security risk, because they leave your computer vulnerable to hackers.
The list below indicates the recommended order to install the drivers for your system and provides links to additional information about each driver. Drivers are available for download on the Dell Support Website for your system. Before choosing your drivers, ensure the correct Operating System version is selected from the drop down list (ie Windows 8.1 64 bit).
After the Windows 8.1 installation, download and install the following components of the Intel chipset and system devices. Click each item in the list to take you to the specific driver location at Dell's support website:

The most obvious problems with Graphics or Video Cards are computer crashing, freezing or problems with viewing or launching certain graphics and video files or programs. These problems would suggest you need to update your Graphics or Video Card Drivers.
To fix your Drivers problems you will need to know the particular model of the Video Graphics device you are having problems with (see instructions above). Once you have the details you can search the manufacturers website for your drivers and, if available, download and install these drivers.
If you are unsure of whether or not you need to update your Drivers, or indeed which Drivers may need to be updated, you can run a Drivers scan using a driver update tool (you will need to pay to register this tool but usually the Drivers scan is free). This will allow you to assess your Driver needs without any commitment. Alternatively, you can use the device manager to check if there are problems with any of your hardware devices.
Device Doctor is a free Windows application that scans your computer hardware and checks to see if there are new driver updates available for your devices. It also locates drivers for "unidentified devices" in the Windows Device Manager.
The Samsung Update app allows you to download and install recommended apps and drivers for your Samsung PC. It is usually preinstalled on Samsung PCs, but you can download it from the Microsoft Store if you don't see it.
On your PC, select Start, and then select Settings. Select Update & Security or Windows Update, and then select Check for updates. If Windows finds updates, they will download and install automatically. In some cases, drivers may be considered an optional update, but it's recommended to install them.

Yes! Stellarium is open source software. Anyone has the right to download and use the software for free, to distribute it without modifying to other people, or modify the source code, all of this under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL).
Via the top icons on the homepage or here on the releases page. Stellarium is now hosted on Github servers. Do not download from freeloader sites who may add "safe downloader" apps with adware. And do not fall into the trap of some dealers on ebay who sell rebranded software. Such individuals betray developers and deceive their customers.
However, make sure to download Stellarium from stellarium.org, github.com, launchpad.net or sourceforge.net, and not some repackaged installation from freeware sites which may pack extra software or adware into their own installers or wrap our ready-made package into "safe downloader apps" (which usually add adware) or may change browser settings (change default browser, modify default search engine, ...) or other things you don't want and we cannot control.
On Windows this indicates your system may be running in "Mesa Mode". This may happen when hardware rendering is disabled because of missing drivers, or if you don't have compatible hardware-accelerated graphics at all. Your PC may be too old (from 2008 or older, or some netbook with Atom CPU from 2010?) If you have a 3D video card or at least a modern processor (CPU) with built-in GPU capabilities, make sure that your OpenGL drivers are installed and up to date.
We interpret this as NVidia (or Intel, resp.) driver issue. If you are affected, run Stellarium in ANGLE mode or leave fullscreen mode before changing colors or directory. Pressing ESC should close the hidden system dialog, or press Alt-Tab to switch windows.
Hardware requirements have not changed since V0.13 (see Common problems with 0.13). Stellarium should work on most computers from 2010 and later, and on older computers equipped with dedicated graphics cards from around 2008 or later, when drivers are up-to-date.
Particular note for Windows 10 upgraders: If you upgrade some older computer, you may have to also upgrade graphics drivers manually. Not all graphics card manufacturers provide drivers for Win10 explicitly for their old hardware, but some drivers for Win7/Win8 may work. If Stellarium V0.11 worked for you some years ago, it should work also here. If the hardware allows it, V0.14 will also work. Don't expect latest programs to run on outdated hardware without latest drivers though.
V0.13 is the first release based on Qt5, which brought several technical changes. The most critical is that rendering graphics with Qt5 requires at least OpenGL2.1 support. This normally utilizes a dedicated piece of hardware, the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). Any recent (say, post-2011) hardware should provide sufficient functionality, but you may need to update the driver not just with the built-in Update driver search of your operating system, but with drivers downloadable from the graphic card manufacturer's website. (Sometime drivers for notebooks can only be found at the respective notebook manufacturer's support websites, and using the reference drivers from GPU manufacturers may not be completely compatible.) 2ff7e9595c
